Pope Francis continues to try to justify his Fiducia Supplicans, but only succeeds in getting himself deeper into the mire. This time he says that the blessing is for two people who love each other. So if the blessing is for a same-sex couple, then the blessing is for homosexual love, which in itself is sin.


Further, since a blessing is from God, then it cannot be applied to a situation that is contradictory to the love of God. If a man and a woman in an adulterous relationship ask as a couple for a blessing because they love each other, should such a blessing be given? Certainly not. God does not bless what is sin.
