THE WORLD AT AN END #141 -- Pope Francis says there is no hell or hell is empty

Pope Francis claims that there is no hell (or that hell is empty). This is totally contrary to authentic belief and Christian faith. The Pope denies two truths: the existence of hell and the immortality of the soul.

* Sacred scripture, both Old and New Testaments, is filled with references to hell.

* Jesus clearly taught about the existence of hell. See Mt 25:41, Mt 13:41-42, Mk 9:46-47.

* The Popes and Councils always taught about the existence of hell as an eternal punishment.

* The Church teaches us about the Four Last Things—death, judgment, heaven and hell.

* The theory that there is no hell comes from Gnosticism and some branches of Protestantism.

* Mama Mary herself at Fatima showed hell to the three shepherd children.
