The College of Cardinals will elect the new Pope. But there are heretics among the Cardinals, who have given teachings and viewpoints contrary to authentic Catholic faith. Such heresies incur automatic excommunication according to Canon Law. They should be expelled and certainly not included among those who will elect a new Pope.
