Pope Leo’s message to the Knights of Malta gives great hope for the future of our Church. He emphasized:


* Proclamation of the gospel, leading to reconciliation with God and obedience to faith in Jesus.

* Faith is not just a common brotherhood or material service to the poor.

* Renewal must firstly be interior and spiritual.


All the above are very much an overturning of the teachings of the previous Pontificate. Christ has returned to the center of Catholic life.
