THE WORLD AT AN END #301 -- Tridentine Mass versus Vatican II Mass

A big aspect dividing our Church today is the Latin Mass. Pope Francis suppressed it, and in many places in the Church it is being banned. Mind you, this is the Mass of the Ages, celebrated for thousands of years before Vatican II. Was God wrong in allowing this old rite to be used through such a long time?
So many Catholics, especially the laity, want it back. But just as many, especially in the hierarchy, want it banned. What to do? Why not just allow both rites? After all, there are many different rites in the Catholic Church, as lived out in the Eastern Churches. No one has asked that these rites be banned.
And what would we do if ever the Orthodox and Catholic Churches come together again? Would there be a ban on the Orthodox rite?
