THE WORLD AT AN END #317 -- Pope Leo XIV on truth and synodality

Jesus is the Truth, and the Church he established contains the full truth of the gospel and Christian living. Now indeed no one person possesses the whole truth, and through the centuries there have been lots of conflicting interpretations about matters of the faith. But the Church does have the elements that can assure the truth. There are the Bible (the very word of God), age-old tradition of the faith as practiced, and the Magisterium (teaching authority) of the Church.
Unfortunately faithless prelates through the years, especially during these times, have put forth modernist views about the faith. The basic focus is on man rather than on God.
Present hierarchs have also taken on synodality, with is opposed to patriarchy, which has been the norm for the Church through the centuries. Syndality, consistent with the modernist focus on man, looks to people, not necessarily even the faithful, to form and lead the Church. It is an upside-down Church. Here everyone’s opinion is accepted, even non-Catholics and those opposed to the faith. And in fact those opposed to the authentic faith, such as pro-aborts and LGBT ideologues, have the loudest voices.
